Bangkok Bank Opens New Branch in Yangon, Extending Its Reach in the Southeast Asia Region

      Bangkok Bank opened its Yangon Branch in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on June 2, 2015. The newly established branch enables Bangkok Bank to leverage its cross-nation expertise to further tap into growth opportunities in the Southeast Asia region. So far, the bank’s overseas branch network spans 14 economies and has established altogether 30 overseas branches.

      As the largest commercial bank in Thailand, Bangkok Bank owns the most extensive branch network in Asia. Before the establishment of Yangon Branch, the bank has set up several overseas branches in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Laos, New York, London, Myanmar and Cambodia.

      Yangon Branch will provide comprehensive financial and banking services to both transnational enterprises and local enterprises.
